Federal Mattress Co. was founded in 1954 by my father, Frank Harowicz.
From the very beginning, the company's mission has been to create a quality
mattress at a reasonable price. My father believed that if you were able
to accomplish this, a satisfied and loyal clientele would surely follow. He was right.
The majority of mattresses made are for repeat and referred clients. This brings
me to my next point: each mattress is hand-made by me - I am a one-man operation.
This means you don't get a cookie cutter mattress.
I've always believed that a quality bed will become the most important
piece of furniture you purchase. It is the only piece of furniture that can directly
affect your health and wellbeing. Because of this, it is very important that you
make an effort to make an appointment to visit my show room so that we can
discuss you personal needs and find the right mattress for you.
A benefit of making each mattress individually is that I am able to specialize
in custom and antique sizes. Over the years I've been fortunate to supply
antique stores, interior designers, chiropractors and the movie industry. I can make
a mattress and foundation that will fit that old bed that you inherited or purchased.
I can walk you through measuring for the correct length, width and height required in
your situation. If you have a space that is perfect for a bed, but unfortunately
a standard mattress doesn't fit, I can solve this problem.
